ABSTRACT

Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) represents an important tool in the diagnosis of many vascular processes involving the kidneys. This article reviews the indications for MRA of the renal arteries and the results presented in the literature regarding MRA for renal artery stenosis, variant anatomy, renal masses, and renal transplants. In addition, the techniques currently used for MRA of the renal arteries are outlined.
